Ike Visits MCC
The remnants of Hurricane Ike passed though central Ohio the afternoon and evening of September 15. Wind gusts reached 60 miles per hour. The majority of homes in the Coshocton area lost power, some for nearly a week. About 30 trees or parts of trees fell on the Mill Creek Central track, nearly all in the Valley Division. Amazingly, the track was damaged in less than a half dozen places. The track is now back in operation with some brush piles and many logs the only reminder of the big blow. The following photos were taken by Bob Vanderkarr who together with Dick stood out in the yard and watched the trees blow down.
